Stegastein viewpoint, viking village, flåm & nærøyfjorden!
Discover the Norwegian fjords in a whole new season. Travel from Bergen through dramatic mountain landscapes, visit a Viking Village, cruise silently through the spectacular Nærøyfjord, and take in panoramic views from Stegastein. With autumn colours, crisp mountain air and the possibility of snow-covered peaks, this is a peaceful and atmospheric fjord experience away from the busy summer season.
From Bergen to the Fjords
Your journey begins in Bergen by minibus as you travel towards the fjords through beautiful valleys and mountain landscapes. Along the way, we make a short stop in Dale, giving you time to stretch your legs, use the facilities and grab a snack or a warm drink. We continue to Tvindefossen Waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the region. In autumn, the surrounding landscape is filled with rich colours, while winter can transform the waterfall and its surroundings into a magical, icy landscape.
Step Back in Time at the Viking Village
We then continue to Gudvangen, a historic village surrounded by some of Norway’s most dramatic mountain scenery. Here, you will visit the Viking Village, where a guided experience takes you back in time to the Viking Age. Learn about Viking life, traditions and culture while exploring this unique historical setting beneath the towering mountains.
Cruise Through the Nærøyfjord
The next part of your adventure is a 2-hour electric cruise through the Nærøyfjord. Often described as one of Norway’s most spectacular fjords, the Nærøyfjord is narrow, dramatic and surrounded by steep mountains rising directly from the water. Along the way, you may see cascading waterfalls, small fjord-side settlements and snow-covered mountain peaks. Travelling through the fjord on an electric vessel makes the experience especially peaceful. During the colder months, the quiet atmosphere, crisp air and winter scenery create an entirely different feeling from the busy summer season.

Flåm & Stegastein Viewpoint
After the cruise, you arrive in Flåm, one of Norway’s best-known fjord villages. From here, we travel towards Aurland and up the mountain road to the spectacular Stegastein Viewpoint. The viewpoint extends high above the Aurlandsfjord and offers breathtaking views across the fjord and surrounding mountains. In autumn and winter, Stegastein can be especially atmospheric. The landscape may be covered in snow, the mountains can appear dramatic against the winter sky, and the fjord far below creates a striking contrast. On colder days, the scenery can feel almost like a winter postcard. After visiting Stegastein, we return to Flåm, where you have free time to explore the village at your own pace. Enjoy a warm drink, browse the local shops, take a peaceful walk along the fjord or simply take in the cosy atmosphere of this small mountain village.
A Winter Fjord Adventure
The journey back to Bergen takes you through the changing landscapes of Western Norway, with a short stop in Voss along the way. Whether you visit during the golden colours of autumn or under a blanket of winter snow, this tour offers a chance to experience the Norwegian fjords in a quieter and more intimate season. Leave the summer crowds behind and discover the fjords when they are at their most peaceful, atmospheric and dramatic.
